Rate of Ohioans without health insurance increases (The Columbus Dispatch)

U.S. census figures on health insurance released today confirm what many experts in Ohio have been saying: Conditions are getting worse for the state's "working poor." Though the number of Americans living without insurance dropped slightly nationwide last year, Ohio's uninsured rate rose 15 percent, to 1.3 million from 2006, according to the annual American Community Survey update.

More Ohioans are without insurance (The Oxford Press)

The number of uninsured Americans declined in 2007 but climbed enough in Ohio to drop the Buckeye state to 18th in the nation for the number of residents with health insurance, a 10-place drop from 2006, the U.S. Census Bureau reported Tuesday, Aug. 26.
